What We're About
Pannage Pork is a small operation in Oxford, North Carolina. We raise Berkshire-Yorkshire cross pigs with room to roam and real food.
Forest Health
Our pigs live in the woods, doing what pigs naturally do. They root through leaves, explore the forest floor, and open up space for sunlight and new growth.
We have seen how their movement helps native plants come back and keeps the land active and healthy. When cared for properly, pigs can be part of a thriving forest ecosystem here in North Carolina.
Rotation
About every three weeks, we move our pigs to fresh ground. This gives the forest time to rest and regrow while the pigs enjoy clean space and new forage.
It keeps the land healthier and the animals healthier too. We believe both matter.
Small Scale
We stay small on purpose. It allows us to really pay attention to each pig and to the land they live on.
Our pigs have room to roam, root, and live outdoors the way they were meant to. Raising pork this way takes more effort, but it is worth it to us and we think you can taste the difference.
Come See Us
We are happy to show people around the farm. Come see where the pigs shelter and where they spend their days.
